He worked for General Motors at Oldsmobile division in Experimental Engineering Department as a Skilled trades Automotive Mechanic working six years in advance for design and development. He was also a teacher for GM and wrote three copyrighted books. Until Oldsmobile went out of business. Then he was transferred to Cadillac division Experimental Engineering Department. Total time was for 36 years. Previously he worked at GM dealerships for 8 years as a Mechanic. Total of both 44 years.
The engine was replaced in 2002 with a 1995 Pontiac Firebird V6 3.4L. Built by G&G Machine Shop Inc.

Includes: Bored out and High compression pistons, 3.8 L Valves ground to three angle, Port and polish. Competition racing camshaft and larger injectors.
The exhaust system had to be custom made so I had Jiffy Muffler in Saint Johns build it with a Catalytic Converter and muffler to pass emissions. The engine compartment is customized to to be uncluttered to show off the engine.
I ran the car up at Mid Michigan Motorplex and it ran the 1/4 mile in 14.7 seconds.
I entered my car in the 2003 Detroit Autorama (Invitation Only) and won first place in my class.
I was handed a copy of Speed Style & Sound magazine during the show and I had no idea of how they got the photos for the article in the magazine because this was the first showing of the car to the public. I was told that they received it from the Autorama, they were photos I sent Autorama to enter the car. The magazine was a preview of what people were going to see when they went to the show.
In one of the photos I was talking to George Barris (www.barris.com) and he told me the Feroce was a breath of fresh air, there is no car like it in the complete show it looks great.
